The daylily, Lightning Force has 7 ½" flowers, which have a green throat that extends out onto an off white flower with a large white edge. A complex flower when closely observed. This is an evening shot taken at 7:48 pm on September 1, 2009 after a long hot day. I love daylilies which hold up till after dark, looking even better as the day goes by. Most daylilies do not look this good late, because they lack substance.
